Your Role 

At team x, we are about implementing next-gen production solutions that enables engaging, hyper-realistic digital product experiences. Our goal is to make "every product playable", by combining the science of technology with the artistry of computer-generated content. Our CG artists, interactive designers, and developers focus on creating virtual versions of our clients' products, so lifelike it feels like you could reach out and touch them. As a CGI Studio Manager at team x, you will be responsible for the seamless execution of CGI projects, ensuring that high-quality visual content is delivered efficiently and effectively. You will manage the studio team’s workload, oversee resource allocation, and maintain the highest creative standards across all resources within the CGI studio.

Working closely with the CGI Lead and Producers, you will ensure that projects transition smoothly from conception to completion, whether for still images or moving visuals. You will also be instrumental in evolving workflows, optimizing profitability, and integrating cutting-edge technologies, including AI, into the post-production process.

Additionally, you will take a hands-on approach, leading major projects while fostering a collaborative and innovative studio culture. Your role will require building strong relationships internally and externally to ensure the VFX studio is seen as best in class, delivering the highest quality with the very best people, platforms and processes.

Your Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage the studio team, including Retouch, CGI, and Motion Design, ensuring seamless collaboration and high-quality output.
  • Partner with Producers and directly engage with clients, offering expertise in high-end visual content production.
  • Oversee team workload and resource allocation, balancing project complexity and individual team strengths.
  • Accurately forecast resources and needs based on scope and timelines projection from Project Management
  • Track production detailed production data and provide efficiency analysis
  • Manage a list of capable freelancers
  • Set creative standards by leading high-level retouching work and signing off on studio deliverables.
  • Develop and refine briefs to maximize creative and production efficiency.
  • Work closely with all relevant teams to optimize workflow and ensure project efficiency.
  • Mentor and support team members in their professional development, fostering growth and skill enhancement.
  • Enhance and evolve post-production processes to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Lead and oversee high-end retouching projects, ensuring the final output meets the highest creative and technical standards.

Your Experience 

  • A seasoned Studio Manager with proven experience overseeing high-end production studios
  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in graphic design or similar
  • Minimum of 3-4 years experience managing studios and teams
  • A strong interest and passion for CGI
  • A strong communicator and natural collaborator, capable of fostering relationships internally and externally, including with clients.
  • Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented and driven by a passion for excellence in visual content.
