The Clinical Data Specialist position is part of a team that is responsible for facilitating chart reviews and preparation for our clinical teams to ultimately ensure efficient and effective medical care with our providers at the patient’s first visit and beyond. In this role, you will partner with physician chart reviewers and nurse documentation specialists to ensure patient records are accessible throughout their healthcare journey at One Medical Senior while broadly supporting the population health initiatives of holistic, comprehensive, and integrated care for our senior health patients. This role is part of our Medicare Population Health Programs team, which is a centralized resource that supports care team and practice operations. Key job responsibilities
- Navigate multiple Electronic Health Records (EHRs)/ Health Information Exchanges (HIEs)/portals to retrieve outside records and prepare charts for upcoming visits in an efficient, accurate and compliant manner
- Identify opportunities to leverage external resources, such as hospital records, Blue Button, and payer data to support retrospective and prospective accurate documentation
- Maintain good communications and partnership with physician & nurse reviewer teams
- Assist in identifying additional areas for operational improvement surrounding records and pre-visit preparation
- Provide general support to maintain department production and quality requirements
- Manage support tickets pertaining to records & related subject matter
- Additional tasks as needed
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare related role
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and familiarity with clinical terminology
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Tech savvy and able to learn and work with multiple technical systems and programs with ease
- Dependable, accurate and detail-oriented
- A self-starter who can work without direct supervision/oversight
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act as a team leader for small projects or work groups, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $37,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $66,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
