Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related technical field.
  • Experience in quality or modeling engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and information in an effective and clear, concise manner, with internal and external stakeholders.

Our team delivers AI and engineering innovations to improve the App Ads Quality and provide key technologies to empower App Ads business growth. The team is constantly exploring, developing and applying technologies to help publishers monetize their content and advertisers acquire engaged users.

Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

  • Design new deep learning based ML models to predict users’ interaction with different ad formats across Google’s various ad delivery channels.
  • Incorporate and engineer input features from ad creatives, publisher pages/content, as well as users’ personalized ad history to improve models’ accuracy.
  • Improve the efficiency and reliability of ML models by designing novel model architectures and adopting robust development and release processes.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex interactions between business goals, mathematical models, and infrastructure.
