Minimum qualifications:
- PhD degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in an applied research setting.
- Experience in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning.
- Experience in software development using C/C++, C#, Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience with Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, or Generative AI.
Preferred qualifications:
- Research experience, with authored publications in AI/ML.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Expertise in ML with a passion for building large-scale ML models of user behavior (using novel interaction signals), and applying them to improve core Google products.
- Develop and evaluate new ML models with large-scale user logs data.
- Build infrastructure for processing large-scale data.
- Perform rigorous statistical data analysis to derive actionable insights.
- Drive applications of the built ML models to improve quality for various core products.
