Booking.com Brasil Servicos de Reservas de Hoteis Ltda (Brazil) is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant for our office in São Paulo, to support the Regional Accounting team. The focus of this position is to make sure the accurate and timely accounting of these processes, as well as the improvement and innovation of them. Critical attitude, ability to multi-task and excellent technical accounting knowledge will help you to accomplish this. This position will report to the Controller and work closely together with other Finance departments, in our São Paulo office. What You'll Be Doing: Perform the month end process including preparation of journal entries, accruals, Intercompany transactions, reconciliation of general ledger accounts and detailed supporting analysis and relevant documentation; Prepare monthly closing reports in accordance with US GAAP; Act as expert to peers and junior team members; Proactive communication of potential issues to the Controller; Participate or lead projects and Accounting initiatives and objectives; Actively drive continuous process improvements and innovations Align with statutory and Sox audits; Strongly act to meet and exceed the department goals. What You'll Bring Minimum of 4-5 years of (general ledger) accounting experience; Relevant accounting degree as for example SPD, ACCA or Bachelor Accounting level (or related); Strong IT experience in financial systems, including SAP, is preferable; Languages written and verbal: Advanced English + Advanced Portuguese + Intermediate Spanish; Currently authorized to work in Brazil; Critical and able to take care of complex accounting reconciliation; Excellent interpersonal skills; Being able to cope with dynamic and high change environment; Enthusiastic, proactive and full of initiatives; Creative thinker; Being able to prioritize; Accurate and analytical, responsible and take ownership; Agile and resilience; Ambitious and inquisitive attitude; You are required to live within a commutable distance from your assigned office location What We'll Provide: Booking.com’s Total Rewards Philosophy is not only about compensation but also about benefits.
