Software Engineer II, Full Stack, Core

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  
• 1 year of experience in full stack development with back-end (e.g., Java, Python, GO, or C++) codebases, and front-end (e.g., JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience in back-end coding languages (e.g., C++ or Java or Go or Python).
• Experience in Machine Learning model coding languages (e.g., Python).
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

• Write product or system development code. Design and build new software systems spanning data processing, infrastructure, serving, and development within the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) space.
• Guide design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure quality (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
