As the Head of Brand Design, you'll be the steward of our brand's visual expression, championing design excellence and innovation across all touchpoints. Leading an agile design team, you'll craft compelling narratives through both global campaigns and localized initiatives, collaborating with a diverse network of stakeholders including strategists, UX specialists, and product teams. Your role encompasses both high-level creative direction and hands-on design oversight, from initial concept development through final execution.

You'll oversee a wide spectrum of creative projects, including digital experiences, motion design, photography, and integrated brand systems. We're looking for a creative unicorn who combines design leadership with practical problem-solving - someone who can translate complex challenges into refined, impactful solutions while maintaining brand consistency. The ideal candidate brings both creative vision and business acumen, with a deep understanding of global markets and emerging trends in technology and design.


Key job responsibilities
• Manage a small team of designers and art directors.
• Guide the team through design, concept development and the execution of brand guidelines, motion graphics, photography, and video work.
• Ability to create and design materials, images, and messages for on-site, video, digital, print, and physical marketing materials.
• Enhance design practices within the team through processes like critiques and design sprints, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Distill complex information into accessible, engaging design deliverables.
• Create visual materials to enable product launches across marketing, lifecycle and product surfaces.
• Support internal and external teammates in design executions across motion graphics, infographics and photographic art direction, video art direction, retail, and events.
• Ability to cut through ambiguity on complex topics and confidently articulate concepts and present work to senior leaders and executives, and other strategic partners via clear, compelling storytelling.
• Demonstrates eagerness to embrace innovative approaches while maintaining a strong commitment to personal growth and team development.
• Work collaboratively with a set of cross-functional partners and stakeholders.

- 15+ years of overall experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience working directly with executive teams and senior leadership in corporate environments.
- Proven record driving collaboration and influencing decisions by building positive relationships.
- Hands on experience with brand identity design, brand systems, deep knowledge of user experience, and are able to iterate multiple concepts and creative solutions.
- Demonstrated experience and/or interest in emerging technologies, including ML/AI.
- Clear and concise communicator with strong organizational skills, and ability to create clear processes, while maintaining flexibility for change.
- Strong business acumen and ability to prioritize projects and resources based on business needs and priority shifts.
- Ability to cut through ambiguity on complex topics and confidently articulate concepts and present work to senior leaders and executives, and other strategic partners via clear, compelling storytelling.
- Experience working with UX designers and platform leads to develop content outlines and future-proof platform enhancements.
- Thrives in a very dynamic environment, and can effectively work across cross-functional teams and geographies while demonstrating integrity at all times.- An understanding of the unique challenges of integrating multiple products into a cohesive user experience.
- You have experience producing work across diverse mediums, including advertising, social media, conceptual campaigns, product launches, branding, photography, film, events, and video.
- Experience working on tech products or complex brand systems.
- Depth in the latest AI developments and modern tooling.
- Thrives in a very dynamic environment, and can effectively work across cross-functional teams and geographies while demonstrating integrity at all times.
- Comfort exploring and experimenting with new methodologies and continuously seeking to improve both personal and team performance.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $162,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $268,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
