Are you an innovative leader that wants to lead the cross-functional design and deployment of innovative solutions into our world-class existing fulfillment centers and logistics systems? Do you want to take ownership of solving the industry’s most complex problems? Does the challenge of designing and implementing ground breaking solutions for automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high-speed manufacturing appeal to you? If you’re looking to be challenged in a fast paced and often ambiguous environment, and you have strong technical problem solving and project management skills, then this job is for you!
Amazon is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented Technical Program Manager who is able to collaborate effectively with internal and external technical teams and be responsible for the design, development and deployment of our material handling systems across multiple building types. The role primarily focuses on the Technical Program Management of integrating systems and devices and delivering turnkey deployable solutions to be delivered in the field.
In this role you will be responsible for working with internal customers to define highly ambiguous problem statements, influencing a global Amazon MHE sourcing and integration strategy, writing technical specifications and performing technical evaluations on equipment, generating multiyear budgets, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing multiple large, high visibility programs simultaneously through the project lifecycle.
This person will possess a strong engineering and program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in current MHE technologies and storage solutions. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an innovative environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done.
