The Manager, Warehouse Operations is responsible for supervising warehouse employees, planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in warehouse methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. This role manages the warehouse team, oversees training and performance management, and is part of the leadership team within Supply Chain Operations, reporting directly to the Director, Supply Chain Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve warehouse staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize Inventory Management (ERP) software and carrier portals to receive purchase order goods and ship required invoices.
  • Attend daily leadership meetings and provide departmental updates.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions.

  • Analyze internal and customer shipping requirements to determine preferred carrier, method, and shipping method.
  • Participate in and provide consultation to Supply Chain department and company-wide initiatives related to KPIs, SLAs, and internal business systems.

Weekly Responsibilities:

  • Operate within timecard software to approve/edit timecards.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps, seeking methods of improvement, testing, and implementing new processes.
  • Foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Monitor and track employee quotas, maintain statistics for the workforce, and conduct one-on-one meetings.
  • Coach and develop direct report employees.

Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Conduct employee evaluations and create corrective action plans.
  • Pull reports from inventory software, analyze data, and make suggestions.
  • Lead monthly standup meetings with the entire facility and participate in setting the agenda for meetings.
  • Oversee inventory cycle counts and physical inventory audits as per the business schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven experience in international export and vendor management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP) and carrier portals.
