Commodities Trader

Optiver is looking for a Commodity Trader to join our growing Singapore office in the Commodities trading team.

WHO YOU ARE

The ideal candidate will have a history of strong trading results in Crude Oil, specializing in trading Calendar Spreads would be an advantage however not a requirement. 

You will be a natural problem solver with exceptional analytical and quantitative skills. You’re a strong performer with a passion for trading and eagerness to learn and continually improve. You are interested and familiar with markets and comfortable with trading a view. We work very collaboratively at Optiver, so this role will suit someone who enjoys working in a team, sharing knowledge and learning from others.

Requirements:

• 2-4+ years experience trading Crude Oil – Calendar Spread focus is a plus
• Have a solid track record of profitability, outstanding prediction or research outcome
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the market and an understanding of how markets function and the opportunities present
• Strong and responsible risk appetite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Collaborative attitude with a continuous improvement mindset
