Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience creating content for technical audiences (e.g., developer documentation, Computer Science course material, or IT administration playbooks).
  • Experience writing for the web with Markdown, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with technical writing.
  • Experience authoring technical documentation, developer facing content, application programming interfaces (APIs), networking protocols, or network architecture.

Technical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as an integral part of the engineering or user experience. The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational material. Regardless of the content medium, technical writers are distinguished by their abilities to explain complex topics in a way that’s useful to their audience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $87,000-$125,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Design, organize, and author technical content for Cloud Networking customers, with a focus on use cases and concepts.
  • Manage documentation projects and prioritize requests while working closely with partner teams.
  • Demonstrate strong technical writing and leadership through content reviews, including proofreading, editing, coaching, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Communicate effectively, establish work processes and strategies, organize work groups, manage expectations, and report status across teams.
