What You’ll Do:

As a BMS Engineer at CSS, you will be part of the Building Engineering team that is designing and delivering advanced systems and components that form the functional basis of our CloudKitchens facilities. In your role you will create, advance, and maintain new and existing building management systems and tools that allow our teams to actively monitor facility and system thermal performance and energy consumption across all locations and climates.

You will work side-by-side with experts in BMS, architecture, building engineering, thermodynamics, refrigeration systems, and controls to enhance the capabilities of our facility control systems. 

Desired skills and experience include fluency in Spanish and English, and an engineering background or extensive experience with BMS systems. Our BMS platform runs on Tridium’s Niagara Framework for Open IoT to integrate and normalize data collected from all of our building equipment.  Experience with this platform or similar platforms is highly desirable.

You should have an ability to perform data analysis on large data sets of physical phenomena to identify opportunities for increasing building operational efficiency through BMS.  Understanding of networks, Internet protocols, google app scripts, software build environments such as Python, and Building Management Systems (BMS) is a plus.

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and network teams to customize BMS systems to the unique aspects of each facility.
• Manage the design, installation, and programming of BMS for US and Canadian facilities.  
• Oversee commissioning of the BMS at the time of facility launch to ensure successful operation.  
• Help set prototypical standards for all building BMS systems based on US design and engineering standards.  
• Serve as the resident BMS expert in support of Bogota, Columbia Facility Management team to provide advanced diagnosis of operational issues they are managing, and provide BMS training to local staff.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science degree, or applied engineering experience with BMS.
• 3 years or more experience in applied engineering positions such as building engineering, commercial HVAC, automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, etc.  
• Ability to write and communicate fluently in Spanish and English
• Ability to read construction drawing sets & find specific information, as needed
• Demonstrated knowledge of Internet Protocols and  problem solving ability

KPIs:

• Gain expertise in navigating BMS Supervisor and integrating new facilities into the BMS Supervisor
• Use BMS on a daily basis to monitor portfolio health, diagnosis issues, and manage corrective actions.
