Read and break down scripts for music needs - understanding the sonicscape, recommending talent, and budgeting for music
Liaise with production companies and Music Supervisors during the personnel hiring process and align on the schedule and project information. Field project inquiries as needed
Onboard partners, Music Supervisors, and Composers with tools and workflow
Facilitate introductions between production and music personnel, ensuring music hires receive scripts and cuts from the production team.
Attend regular check-ins with music supervisors/composers/production company, taking relevant notes
Review cuts and flag unresolved music needs or music clearance issues while collaborating with the music supervisor, composer, production, post-production teams, etc for the same
Maintain consistent communication with Music Supervisors, Netflix Music Legal, and Post-Production teams for relevant team updates/action items
Attend show-specific meetings and provide music updates
Review and manage Music deliverables
5+ years of experience working in Film or Television Music
Prior experience working in music production, music engineering/editing, composing, or music supervision
Knowledge of the music industry, digital streaming platforms, music publishing, music licensing, record labels, PROs would be a plus
Highly analytical with effective written and verbal communication skills
Team player with the ability to prioritize, respond, pivot quickly, think practically, and positively, and be solution-oriented
Highly organizational and comfortable creating and maintaining workflows and tools
Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information
Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably on multiple projects under tight time frames in a fast-paced production environment
Open to suggestions and feedback
Exercises good judgment and initiative when making decisions
Ability to quickly adapt to new tools with minimal guidance
Proficiency in Google Workspace
