Description
As a Software Quality Engineer for Financing and Retail Systems (FRS), you will be responsible for ensuring the iOS and web applications we build, which are used in Apple Retail Stores and by Business Partners worldwide, are bug-free and provide the means to support our customers effectively. You will review business requirements and technical documentation to develop test plans and work cross-functionally with other teams across IS&T and Retail to ensure we are delivering a high quality product.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in software QA and/or Retail processes with mobile and web applications
  • Bachelors degree in technical field or equivalent experience

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and QA terminology
  • Previous experience with test planning, writing, assessing and communicating risk based on issues identified
  • Has the ability to think through problems with the user experience in mind

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a highly cross-functional organization
  • Able to make decisions on-the-fly and pivot, as needed
  • Knowledge of quality and project management systems and tools
  • Ability to manage a small team of testers to ensure you meet all test deliverables on
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and creative problem solver with passion for quality processes

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $112,900 and $234,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
