(Senior) Product Manager - Text and Embedded Search Engine (f/m/d)

At SAP LeanIX, we are leading the charge in delivering our innovative Enterprise Architecture solution to over 1500 customers. As the (Senior) Product Manager for our Text and Embedded Search Engine, you’ll play a key role in shaping and executing the product strategy for one of our most critical offerings: the central Inventory of SAP LeanIX.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, UX Design, and Customer Success, while also interacting directly with customers. Your mission will be to develop and deliver search-related features that address real-world customer challenges and create exceptional user experiences.

You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, prioritizing features, and ensuring that our embedded search engine evolves to meet the growing demands of our expanding customer base. Our embedded search engine serves as the interface that speaks our customers’ language, enabling them to quickly, efficiently, and precisely discover information. This transforms the way businesses unlock and leverage their data.

WHAT IS WAITING FOR YOU?

• Develop and communicate the long-term vision and roadmap for the embedded search engine, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market needs.
• Engage with customers, product marketing, sales and customer success staff to understand user pain points and gather insights that inform product development and enhancements.
• Lead the prioritization process for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes, balancing customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility. You will be responsible for the team’s backlog and roadmap - the topics the team is working on, and in which order. Together with your team, you have full responsibility from product discovery through delivery to customer value
• Work closely with engineering, data science, and UX/UI teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-centric features that improve the overall search experience.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive products to ensure our search engine remains a market leader in terms of innovation and performance.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the embedded search engine and ensure continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to create compelling messaging, product positioning, and launch plans that resonate with our target audiences.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• 2+ years in product management, with a focus in search algorithms, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP) technologies in modern SaaS companies. Knowledge of how embedded search engines integrate with broader enterprise systems
• Strong ability to analyze customer needs, industry trends, and technical constraints to drive product decisions and roadmaps.
• Proven experience in understanding user needs, translating those into product requirements, and delivering solutions that enhance the user experience.
• Enjoying an agile software development process of a large SaaS software company.
• Work cross-functionally with diverse teams and act as a collaborative leader within the leadership triad of your team to execute on product initiatives.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders – fluent in English.
