About the role:

We’re looking for someone with a foundational technical background that’s ready to jump into learning about operational cyber security with both feet. They’ll thrive on knowledge progression, be a bridge builder, and contribute to continually raising the bar. 

in this role, you’ll get to:

  • Identify and triage threats (investigation, impact analysis, response)
  • Leverage your awareness of the evolving threat landscape in order to identify relevant risks and take action as required
  • Partner with other members of the security team to ensure broad awareness of risk and our risk reduction capabilities, as well as collaborate with other departments who support our security program
  • Leverage AI to benefit investigative processes

We are looking for people with:

  • Experience and / or formal education in information security and information technology, in an operations capacity
  • Functional knowledge of macOS and Linux operating systems
  • Experience solving low to moderately complex technical problems
  • A basic understanding of networking and IP addressing concepts
  • Ability to work under stress
  • Effective communication and coordination
  • Experience using time efficiently

And some exposure to:

  • SIEM technology and log analysis
  • OS hardening, malware analysis, and malware remediation tools
  • Investigating internet, network, and host based events
  • Incident response efforts
  • Email risks and effective defenses

Even better if:

  • You have a helpdesk or technical support related background
  • Deeper understanding of macOS and Linux operating system internals

 




Cash compensation range: 80000-100000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
