The Role

As Strategic Account Manager on the On-Demand Grocery team, you will be responsible for managing some of the largest, most complex grocery partners in Hong Kong which are critical to our overall business growth.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive Sales Performance - Own your partners’ platform business growth through proactive reporting, data analysis, operation optimisation projects, and identifying growth opportunities. 
  • Relationship Management - Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partner decision makers, including C-level executives.
  • Consumer Value Proposition - Develop an attractive value proposition for customers through continuous review and optimisation of product range, pricing, operations, promotions, as well as competitive dynamics.
  • Promotions Planning & Budgeting - Manage marketing and promotions planning and budgeting for your partners while collaborating closely with our internal Marketing team to boost partner visibility and execute key marketing campaigns.   
  • Strategic Planning - Develop medium and long-term joint business plans with your partners in the context of Deliveroo’s broader strategic goals. 
  • Project Management - Own and deliver key strategic initiatives end-to-end including project scoping, securing buy-in from key internal and external stakeholders, resource mapping, and performance tracking.
  • Stakeholder Management - Represent Deliveroo across the client’s organisation, while ensuring internal stakeholder alignment and support where appropriate.

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in an account management or commercial role, experience in online or offline grocery retail or e-commerce is preferable
  • Proven track record of consistently surpassing assigned targets
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to support effective decision-making
  • Excellent numerical proficiency and ability to work with complex data sets
  • Strong commercial acumen with high attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationship with key stakeholders across different levels of an organization
  • Excellent communication skills that enable you to influence and engage key stakeholders across all levels
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work with cross functional teams
  • A passionate, energetic self-starter who can thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets is a plus
