Fleet and Waste Manager

About The Team:

HelloFresh is seeking a Fleet and Waste Manager to join our UK team in our Derby site. Within this role you will be working within the facilities and maintenance team and reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager; this dynamic and active role will be managing all material handling equipment (MHE) and generated waste activities across the site.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Liaising with the training department to co-ordinate MHE training to ensure site teams have enough staff trained on the use of MHE to cover all site operations
• Collating data and generating reports on MHE activity and waste streams across the site
• The Fleet and Waste Manager will oversee the upkeep and utilisation of MHE equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency and service reliability
• Liaising with waste and MHE companies to ensure continued service and organising
  timely repairs/maintenance on waste and MHE equipment
• Be the first point of contact for MHE/waste engineers and managing their activities on site
• Drive waste reduction strategies, ensuring full commitment to cost savings and environmental responsibility across the business
• Work closely with teams to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and optimise resource usage

Who You Are:

• Previous experience within a production or similar environment
• Experience with MHE equipment and waste management (or a strong willingness to learn)
• Leadership skills with the ability to oversee and support team members
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost savings
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Good understanding of UK regulations relating to the provision and use of MHE (PUWER-LOLER)

Location: 1 Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday either 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm (preference of candidate) based in the office every day
