Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with R, SQL, spreadsheets, or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience in the e-commerce industry and working with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Track record of leading and executing strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, Product Managers, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

Google Store Strategy and Operations team serves as a central hub for shaping the strategic direction of Google Store. We drive long-term growth and profitability by partnering with Product, Marketing, and Sales to seamlessly execute data-driven strategies. This includes conducting in-depth market and competitive analyses to identify new opportunities, which we then translate into actionable initiatives and investment recommendations.

In this role, you will offer a unique opportunity to shape the future of Google Store, driving strategic initiatives that impact millions of customers. As a key member of the Strategy and Operations team, you will have a direct impact on the growth and profitability of the business.
You will use your problem-solving and strategic thinking skills with a passion for e-commerce and lead and execute complex projects.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Guide the development and execution of strategic initiatives for Google Store, focusing on growth optimization, profitability, and long-range planning.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Google Store business, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Financial Performance, and Operational Processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc.) to align on strategic priorities and ensure cohesive execution.
  • Develop and maintain analytical frameworks and models to evaluate investment opportunities, track performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead the annual and long-range planning processes for Google Store, ensuring alignment with overall Google objectives.
