The Role

The Industry Relations & Partnership team within Content Operations and Innovation is made up of production and technology domain experts who are responsible for executing and influencing initiatives that support our pitch to play ecosystem. We are seeking a Marketing Manager, Industry Relations & Partnerships, who is responsible for leading local programs that connect with regional stakeholders across various studio initiatives. 

This role will be responsible for crafting and executing the industry engagement strategy focused on positioning our subsidiary brand Eyeline Studios. Additionally, this position will play a critical leadership role in driving structured proactive collaboration with key internal collaborators to ensure we are providing the APAC Production and VFX community with consistent and streamlined messaging with respect to Netflix initiatives. This role also supports various communication needs from across the greater Content Operations and Innovation Team. 

  • Drive strategic alignment and communication of industry engagement plans within the APAC region across the production organization.

  • Act as a consulting partner for strategic engagements involving BTL creative communities and Technology partners, such as those supporting awards campaigns or larger studio programs or initiatives. 

  • Stay connected to regional cross-functional teams to identify and surface industry impacts and challenges and communicate those to larger Industry Relations & Partnerships team

  • Develop and refine data measurement, assuring that we identify metrics that matter in understanding our impact across a specific program or initiative. 

  • Build, update, distribute, and communicate industry engagement best practice materials for regional teams and ensure adoption of those frameworks. 

  • Develop and track engagement data for the Industry Relations & Partnership team, assuring that the metrics being measured are of substance and provide visibility into business impact.

  • Provide support in evaluating external opportunities to position or showcase Scanline and Eyeline projects within the trade industry (conferences, trade shows, associations). 

Qualifications:

  • A successful track record of working effectively in a highly matrixed and fast-growing organization

  • 10+ years of industry experience working in Marketing, Communication, Media and Technology industry

  • Understanding of a variety of motion picture workflows, technologies and practices across different types of content and the business units that operate them

  • Knowledge of and relationships with technology solutions, equipment and service vendors across post and production

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to clearly and succinctly articulate and document internal workflows that support the vendor ecosystems with a specific focus on understanding marketing, branding and how Netflix communicates to its partners 

  • Culturally sensitive with a history of collaborating cross-functionally with a diverse range of global stakeholders, including creatives, talent, engineers and technology groups

  • Demonstrated success in working across teams to solve complex problems, often under high pressure and in time-sensitive scenarios

About You

You have a deep understanding of the production and filmmaking process, creative service vendor landscape and ecosystem that cultivate quality, efficiency and longevity of content across all levels of motion picture production. You understand current pipelines, techniques and tools, and how they’ve developed as technology and creative demands have evolved and the business divisions that drive them. You have worked with standards bodies, equipment manufacturers, technology thinkers, industry associations, studios, production and post services vendors to drive standards or initiatives. You’re able to adapt to changing landscapes within large organizations and contribute thought partnership, support and value to colleagues all around you.
