Job Description

The Publishing Operations team in EMEA provides many direct-to-player publishing functions, such as community, marketing communications, strategy development, competitive experience, events, and full-funnel strategy. The team also establishes and maintains internal services such as platforms, vendor management, project management, RFPs, and working with player insights.

The team is dedicated to providing platforms for authentic local interactions and channel experiences for players and Rioters, both online and offline. The team will also ensure that our pan-EMEA content will reach players through the right medium. It collaborates closely with EMEA and country-based publishing teams.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Communications, EMEA, you will be based in London (UK), Berlin (Germany), Barcelona (Spain), Istanbul (Türkiye), Paris (France), or Dubai (UAE) and this is a 12 month contract. 

As Marketing Comms III, EMEA, you will drive the community and comms launch campaign of 2XKO across the EMEA region, alongside our global counterparts, brand teams, and country teams.

You will work with the Senior Manager, Marketing Communications, to create campaigns that resonate with our players and ensure these campaigns deliver on their objectives.

You will bring a high level of community and communication campaign building experience, ideally from a video game background or with a passion for fighting games.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Craft and implement a 2XKO community engagement plan tailored to the fighting game community, ensuring alignment with global strategy
  • Drive launch campaigns, from events, to dev access, to previews of 2XKO throughout 2025, from ideation to delivery
  • Build meaningful relationships with key FGC players, content creators, grassroots organisers, and tournament hosts to embed 2XKO into the scene authentically ahead of launch and beyond
  • Work closely with PR, social, brand, and marketing to ensure a unified approach to community-building efforts, maximising impact across all touchpoints.
  • Track player feedback, emerging trends, and sentiment across EMEA markets, providing actionable insights to devs, marketing, and global community teams
  • Act as craft expert and consultant for community and communications teams across EMEA

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in community management or communications at an agency or in-house in the video game, technology, or entertainment industry
  • Passion for the fighting game genre and community
  • Global or regional experience working at an international HQ or across multiple countries/markets
  • Knowledge of regional differences, market sensitivities, cultural curiosity and understanding, differences in localization
  • Experience implementing successful communications campaigns with passionate audiences
  • Fluent in written and verbal English.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in a multinational environment, particularly in the EMEA region.
  • Besides English, you are multilingual in one of French, Spanish or German
