As the Director of China Publishing for Team Fight Tactics (TFT) PC and Fight for the Golden Spatula (FFGS), you will set the vision for deep Tencent partnership management, key strategic initiatives, infrastructure, capabilities, performance measurement/optimization, regional publishing, brand strategy, brand partnerships, and innovation. This role has high visibility as the TFT and FFGS representative for China amongst leadership and will be looked to for guidance, problem-solving, and decision-making. You are someone who is able to quickly grasp complicated problem spaces, bring together international cross-functional and cross-department teams to identify actionable solutions, and deliver desired outcomes. You are laser focused on iteration, improvement, and optimization - if there is a better way to do things you will find it. You will leave no stone unturned to make publishing better at Riot so we can deliver the best possible experiences to players in China.
Responsibilities:
- Lead & own TFT/FFGS relationship management with Tencent alongside Riot China publishing leadership
- Serve as a member of the Riot China publishing leadership team, jointly managing regional priorities, concerns and initiatives on behalf of Riot.
- Serve as a member of TFT Franchise publishing leadership team to identify, prioritize, and address publishing capability gaps based on player and business objectives within China
- Set vision for and drive key strategic publishing initiatives that span multiple product and publishing teams with out
- Collaborate with global publishing and development teams to drive strategic alignment with TFT Franchise goals, unlock high impact regional opportunities, and support regional priorities within China.
- Work with publishing and brand leads to shape long-term strategic plans across K6 and broader TFT Franchise.
- Partner with Insights teams to measure, assess, and optimize the effectiveness of our publishing activities; and develop detailed audience frameworks to deliver right experiences to the right players within China.
- Coordinate with cross-functional growth teams to help test, learn, and optimize the end-to-end player funnel at all phases of the Chinese player lifecycle
- Work with our global and Riot China partnership teams to develop a cohesive brand partnership strategy and drive the implementation of key brand partnerships
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ of years experience in product management, program management, or business operations
- Bi-lingual in business-level Mandarin and English
- 7+ years of publishing live ops experience in delivering gaming experiences to players
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role
- A strategic thinker that obsessively aligns priorities and activities toward realizing strategic goals
- Well-versed in leading cross-functional teams, stakeholder management, and driving stakeholder alignment
- Expert in mobile game publishing processes and best practices
- Able to navigate complex initiatives with multiple interdependencies while successfully delivering against a wide range of stakeholder expectations
- Comfortable exercising influence w/o direct authority to achieve desired outcomes
- Deep understanding of Chinese and American business cultures - you seek first to listen, understand, and appreciate different points of view
