Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a significant portion in technical program management, product engineering, or a closely related role focused on silicon product development and manufacturing.
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, yield management, product qualification and semiconductor processing.
  • Experience in managing and collaborating with external semiconductor manufacturing partners, including wafer foundries, OSATs (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test), and test houses.
  • Ability to lead, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment without direct authority.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Behind Google's user-facing applications, websites, and services lies a Technical Infrastructure team that develops hardware and software in data centers.

As a Technical Program Manager for Silicon Engineering, you will apply your management abilities and in-depth knowledge of silicon product engineering, semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fabrication, assembly, test), yield improvement, and failure analysis. You will be included in program planning, execution management, guiding technical discussions, making well-informed decisions, and resolving intricate problems. You will focus on the orchestration and management of external vendors across wafer manufacturing, assembly, and testing. You will leverage your comprehensive technical understanding of the silicon product life-cycle and extensive industry experience, and ensure programs are delivered punctually, within budgetary constraints, and to the highest levels of quality.The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Collaborate closely with and drive alignment across internal cross-functional teams, including Design, Verification, DFT, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Quality.
  • Lead the creation of credible and data-driven schedules and milestones, track the progress, proactively identify potential future challenges, and identify mitigations with the various team leaders.
  • Assist the selection, qualification, and management of external vendors for wafer fabrication (foundries), packaging/assembly (OSATs), and test.
  • Define clear statements of work (SOWs), negotiate agreements, and manage vendor deliverables, performance, quality, and cost.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with external manufacturing partners, including supply chain disruptions, quality excursions, and capacity constraints.
