The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Backend Engineer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend systems that power our applications. You will lead a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of scalable and reliable software solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

What You Will Be Doing

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend systems and APIs.
Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and develop technical specifications.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by implementing best practices and coding standards.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues in the backend architecture.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to the overall technical strategy.
Manage and prioritize tasks within the team to meet project deadlines.

What You Will Be Doing

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a backend engineer with a strong understanding of backend technologies and frameworks (Rust, Go, Python).
Experience with database management systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience in leading or mentoring engineering teams is a plus.

It Would Be Nice If You Had

Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of security best practices in backend development.
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
