Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in coding with a general purpose programming language (e.g., C, Linux, English, Python, Git).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience developing, testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  • 1 year of experience with skills in Java, Android, Battery Management, and SQL.
  • Experience with embedded Linux and device drivers. Experience working on SoC/firmware, system/driver development and validation.
  • System-level understanding of mobile devices, including both hardware and software, and interactions between the two.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans, including automated and semi-automated testing, to identify and resolve issues across new and existing user experiences.
  • Develop and deploy tools for monitoring and analyzing charging and battery performance, identifying areas for improvement. Provide support for market charging and battery software.
  • Develop and deploy firmware, Linux kernel drivers, Android HAL extensions, and system APIs for wired and wireless charging solutions.
  • Design and implement software including fuel gauging, thermal management, and reverse wireless charging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to close test coverage gaps and define best practices for testing.
