Job Description

Hybrid

Candidates for this position are preferred to be based in Bangalore, and will be expected to comply with their team's hybrid work schedule requirements.

Who We Are:

Wayfair runs the largest custom e-commerce large parcel network in the United States, approximately 1.6 million square meters of logistics space. The nature of the network is inherently a highly variable ecosystem that requires flexible, reliable, and resilient systems to operate efficiently.

Bengaluru is home to our brand new, strategic technology delivery center and will be critical to achieving our future growth plans. We are looking for best in class Engineers to come in and help scale our technical products and teams alike as we continue on our path to be the world’s number one online destination for the home. As one of the early members of the team here in our strategic technology delivery center, you will partner closely with our technology and business leaders from around the world to help build the platform to support our growth plans to $50B USD and beyond in the next 3 to 5 years.

The team in the Bengaluru delivery center can work across multiple domains that drive speed and convenience for the customer and cost efficiency across the full value chain. The work we do at Wayfair means we have to move quickly, collaborating with the best and brightest engineers, creatives, product managers, data scientists, and analysts to discover, build, and scale world-class software products.

If you love to solve real business problems at scale, in a fast-paced, high growth and agile environment, this is the role for you!

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team that enables us to build the best Storefront experiences on the Wayfair platform, by integrating analytics into the DNA of our product and engineering teams.
  • Hire, nurture, and manage a team of analysts that supports the work of 15+ atomic teams across the platform and customer experience lifecycles.
  • Own and develop the strategic analytics agenda and delivery roadmap across multiple work streams to unlock insights and guide the business and technology roadmap.
  • Prioritize resources, hiring, and team topologies across multiple areas to balance the short-term needs with the needs of longer-term initiatives.
  • Build capability to apply new analytical methodologies and techniques to the Storefront space, including reporting on key platform KPIs, measuring new capability adoption and user behaviors, driving quantitative investigations (key driver analysis, feature modeling), and modeling the team’s impact.
  • Lead on developing and expanding best practices in areas such as structuring analyses, data model architecture, dashboard design, and data visualizations to communicate meaningful metrics within the platforms space.
  • Partner and influence senior leadership across the company to contribute to the strategic agenda of the Storefront Platform.

We Are a Match Because You Have:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or other quantitative disciplines
  • Total of 10+ years with track record (2+ years) of managing platform, product or business analytics teams
  • Experience in leveraging A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies for effective product launch measurement.
  • Experience in architecting and delivering impactful data models for effective platform enablement and customer experience optimization.
  • High comfort level with programming skills in Python and SQL, and experience working with Big Data technology such as BigQuery and visualization tools including Looker; ideally familiarity with cloud-based platforms (preferably GCP)
  • Ability to condense technical subject matter for non-technical audiences and succinct communication and to deal with ambiguity in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
