Strategic Operations Manager - Safety & Compliance

**About the Role** In the DACH Operations team we seek to tackle wide-reaching regional problems with projects often involving analyzing data sets and providing creative insights to reach groundbreaking solutions. We are seeking a colleague who is excited to tackle the toughest problems, who possesses an excellent analytical mentality and a desire to improve our products at scale. **What You'll Do** 1. **Enhance safety and compliance standards** by analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and implementing improvements. 2. **Lead the rollout of global safety initiatives** in collaboration with product and policy teams, ensuring optimal fit for the DACH region. 3. **Manage compliance processes** to ensure adherence to KYC and regulatory requirements, working closely with legal and compliance teams. 4. **Partner with internal and external stakeholders** (e.g., NGOs, law enforcement) to strengthen Uber’s safety and compliance framework. 5. **Leverage data analytics and AI tools** to monitor safety and compliance trends, measure the impact of initiatives, and drive continuous improvements. **What You'll Need** 1. **Business level German language proficiency** and fluency in English 2. 4+ years of experience in management consulting/project management/operations in a top tier consultancy, tech company, large business, startup or similar organization 3. Knowledge of and deep interest in the German mobility space 4. High degree of ownership and ability to analyze large amounts of data, build actionable strategies and drive forward workstreams independently 5. Some knowledge of Statistics / AB Testing 6. Excellent Google Sheet skills and some SQL or other database/programming experience **Bonus Points If** 1. Advanced SQL skills 2. Advanced statistics skills 3.
