The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon.

As the Program Manager of the GREF Onboard team, you will manage the global contingent worker compliance program supporting technical on and off-boarding, data management and training reporting for GREF, overseeing the end-to-end life cycle with focus on mitigation risks and driving data accuracy. With a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of requirements fully aligned with GREF strategies, the successful candidate will deliver a standardized program across all regions, ensuring highest standards of data integrity and compliance through audits, manage stakeholder engagement and provide team leadership. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), relentlessly surfacing discrepancies, identifying opportunities and driving bar raising process improvements.

The ideal candidate is an experienced and engaging professional who will excel within an entrepreneurial culture – providing vision, leadership, and communication – not afraid to dive deep into details and take ownership. They should also understand the nuance of being approachable, while at the same time consultative– providing direction/recommendations and fostering transparent relationships. The candidate must be able to balance frugality with creativity in offering solutions and approach problem-solving with an emphasis on root cause. An ideal candidate is able to navigate high levels of ambiguity and demonstrate a bias for action, taking calculated risks in a fast-paced environment.


Key job responsibilities
• Design optimized end-to-end operating model (resources and technology).
• Lead program execution decision making, drive solutioning and risk mitigation within the team.
• Transform strategic vision into annual roadmaps, program deliverables, determining what scales globally versus regionally.
• Research, assess and recommend technologies that seamlessly integrate with GREF/Amazon data sources, optimizing performance and enabling friction-free workflows across People programs.
• Design and deliver performance metrics, measures of success and insightful reporting that align globally to GREF goals.
• Deliver People Compliance Strategy based on annual roadmap, ensuring robust organization in the execution of initiatives.
• Prioritize implementation of improvements that enhance the customer and contingent worker experience.
• Deliver effective and proactive stakeholder engagement, reporting and communication, routinely bringing visibility to program performance and developments, using customer insights to drive change.
• Ensure programs adhere to established protocols, processes, and systems.
• Establish mechanisms that ensure a consistent high level of accuracy in data management and reporting, driving continuous improvement in automation to improve efficiency and data integrity
• Identify improvements and initiatives that optimize program execution, systems and documentation.
• Partner with the Contingent Worker Compliance teams to ensure full compliance of the program.
• Partner with GREF Communication to identify effective communication channels and build a clear and robust communication plan for the program.
• Provide routine analysis and reporting activities for the Compliance program.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in professional experience.
- 5+ years experience in global program management.
- Ability to lead globally and manage regional policies, requirements, and nuances.
- Experience working with multiple geographies and cultures, virtually, across several time zones, in a highly dynamic organization.
- Organizational skills and capacity to prioritize in a complex, fast paced environment.
- Hands on approach, show attention to details and ownership.
- Ability to lead and influence others, proven track record of interaction with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization and establishing effective relationships.
