We offer you the opportunity to delight millions of TV streamers around the world while gaining meaningful experience across a variety of disciplines.

About the team

We partner closely with content publishers/streaming services, third-party developers, and cross-functional teams within Roku, including Content Distribution, Partner Growth, Partner Initiatives, Payments, Advertising, Product, and Engineering. In addition to facilitating onboarding and managing app launches across the world, we help partners build intuitive experiences that delight customers while ensuring compliance to Roku’s platform and business requirements.

About the role

As a Partner Engagement Manager at Roku, you will be a strategic liaison between content partners and Roku, focusing on driving successful technical and business outcomes. In this external-facing role, you will serve as the primary Roku point of contact for platform, product, and technical matters, for any partner requests.

This role requires strong technical troubleshooting and product development expertise, along with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

You will collaborate closely with content partners to optimize the integration and operational efficiency of their apps on Roku’s platform. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless technical onboarding, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, helping partners fully leverage Roku’s capabilities in content delivery, monetization, and audience engagement. By combining Roku’s technical expertise with partners’ content management needs, you will ensure smooth, scalable, and high-performance operations, driving tangible improvements for both parties.

The position is based in Austin, USA, with occasional travel (up to 25%) required.

What You'll Do

  • Manage day-to-day technical operations and post-deal relationships for a portfolio of streaming platform partners and vendors.
  • Oversee partner app launches on Roku, ensuring smooth execution at every stage of the app lifecycle, from onboarding and technical certification to launch and post-launch operations.
  • Collaborate with external teams (Product, Engineering, Commerce, Release Management) and internal teams (Content Distribution, Partner Engineering, Developer Relations, Product, Partner Marketing) to lead technical engagements, oversee partner app onboarding, and support new platform integrations.
  • Identify feature gaps and competitive opportunities, and draft product recommendations and requirements for internal product and engineering teams.
  • Build expertise in Roku technology and products to address partner inquiries, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical challenges and blockers.
  • Proactively identify and manage technical risks, becoming a steward for Roku’s platform requirements
  • Contribute to go-to-market initiatives to drive market growth and align partners with Roku's business and technology roadmaps.
  • Identify and drive process improvements and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, staying aligned with account needs and business priorities while delivering an exceptional partner experience and championing Roku in the market.

Who You Are

  • At least 3 years in project coordination or technical account management, with a proven track record of leading high-visibility, partner- or customer-facing projects to achieve business outcomes. Demonstrated ability to build and optimize relationships with partners and colleagues, and manage schedules, roadmaps, and deliverables effectively.
  • Strong understanding of the consumer product development and manufacturing lifecycles, as well as software development. Ability to develop high-level feature guides, gather requirements, and build business cases for new features. Experience with video delivery solutions, DRM, payment systems, and digital ad insertion is highly preferred.
  • Extensive experience with tools like JIRA (DevOps), Airtable (Project Management), and Zendesk (Ticketing Solutions). Familiarity with additional project management and collaboration tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences and provide the right context for effective understanding and collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships and lead initiatives with a strong history of success in program management and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field required. Additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.

The Roku Culture

Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.

We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
