See yourself at Twilio

Join the team as Twilio’s next Enterprise Architect!

Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we have presence throughout South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. We're on a journey to becoming a global company that actively opposes racism and all forms of oppression and bias. At Twilio, we support diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business.

About the job

As the Enterprise Architect at Twilio, you will serve as an overlay to Account Executives (AEs) and Solutions Engineers and Architects (SEs) across both Communications and Segment BUs to help drive GTM org’s multi-year, multiproduct transformation to One Twilio Platform. You will play a critical role in authoring and supporting the highest profile customer conversations around the architectural blueprint for both new and existing solutions to help customers go through the multiproduct transformation. Specifically, you will be defining, improving, and honing the playbook (including improvements to the content and “modeling”  around the entire sales process from business problem discovery, architecture diagnosis conversations, workshops, and demos) and be a trusted liaison between Product, Marketing, and Sales as we rapidly iterate the recipe to bring the broader GTM org to a multiproduct future. You will author how we go about accelerating multiproduct adoption with existing solutions, while at the same time working at the bleeding edge of pre-GA R&D pipeline to help incubate new platform capabilities and build the base for our Sierra vision.

The role may require up to moderate amount of travel (up to 10-20%, ramped over time) as we have envisioned this to be a “forward-deployed” team that is able to stay close with our frontline sellers and solution engineers and able to bring back fresh customer perspectives and feedback and synthesize them into actionable insights for the cross-functional partners (Product, Marketing, Sales leadership).

You will report directly to the RVP, Solution Sales, under the CRO’s GTM Leadership org, and will work closely with the GTM Sales leaders for both BUs as well as the newly consolidated Demo Engineering team also under the same leader.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Accelerate sales traction for the playbook you’ll be putting together to drive multi-product adoption across the business while also incubating pre-GA R&D pipeline through early conversations with a small set of AEs and SEs and our highest priority target customers to build the recipe for taking the new platform capabilities to market
  • Prove repeatability for the GTM motion for each new solution, perfecting the recipe as we go and work closely with Marketing and Product to ensure we rapidly iterate based on all field and customer feedback and hone positioning so as to build a scalable and repeatable motion on top of the initial recipe.
  • Demonstrate customer ROI by augmenting AEs and SEs in reframing the discussion around solving business problems by leveraging the entire portfolio across Communications and Segment capabilities and supporting customers through the architecture and adoption stages to map the build to key business outcomes
  • Demonstrate value of Twilio solutions by working closely with the newly consolidated Demo Engineering team in bringing the new demo platform up and running and showcasing our capabilities through demos and workshops

  • Strong understanding of Twilio’s products and services, as well as the broader communications industry.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and architecture principles
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. .

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience with high-level business and deep technical discussions
  • Executive presence and strong communication skills, including ability to create and deliver a great presentation to tell a story and communicate business value as well as product features and benefits
  • A bias for action with the ability to test and iterate on new ideas quickly with the appropriate controls and data in place to measure success and change or double down on tactics when needed.

Desired:
