Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,000+ satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

We are looking for talented technicians to help full-scale production of the Kuiper satellites. The success of Kuiper depends on the quality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, throughput, and security of the products that you deliver. Key job responsibilities
- Follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds
- Participate in process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
- You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
- Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
- Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
- Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
- Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
- Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc)
- Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $33.50 / hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. Additional Requirements:
Willing to work 4 / 10s as assigned:

2nd shift: 5:00pm - 3:30am PST
Sunday -Wednesday OR Wednesday - Saturday

- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed. Shift will vary, depending on program needs.
- Flexible working/commuting in between site locations Redmond, WA and Kirkland, WA
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
- Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted
• 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification
• 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches)
• 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system
• Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
• Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license
• CFOT certification or equivalent experience
• Airman or Avionic certification or equivalent experience
• ASE certification or equivalent experience
• Experience in fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
• Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
• Experience working with Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration, Fiber Optics/Optical and/or Harness Integration
• Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $68,640/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
