The IES DEX team is seeking a Java Support Engineer to assist in maintaining and optimizing our scalable and robust technology in the package consolidation space. Our team develops and supports algorithms and ML models that identify package consolidation opportunities and create programs to incentivize customer selection of recommended products. This initiative helps Amazon reduce costs for customers while decreasing the overall carbon footprint.
As a Java Support Engineer, you will be integral in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support throughout the product lifecycle. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to system improvements and optimizations.
The ideal candidate should have strong Java programming skills and experience in supporting large-scale distributed systems. You should be comfortable working in an agile environment, have excellent problem-solving abilities, and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Providing technical support for Java-based applications and systems
Troubleshooting and resolving complex software issues

A day in the life
We are looking for a talented, detail, oriented and enthusiastic Java Support Technician who is passionate about problem solving and is enthusiastic about the latest technology offered to consumers.
1. Aligning with our Mobile First approach; Java Support Technicians owns automation across various platforms like Mobile Web, Mobile Apps and Desktop browsers.
2. Role requires execution of SOP driven small coding assignments as well, understanding amazon tools and systems, making configuration changes to those systems, identifying opportunities for automation as well.
