Software Engineer, Cluster Management, Borg

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an
  academic or industry setting.
  
• 2 years of work experience in software development.
• Experience architecting and developing large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience in concurrency, multithreading and synchronization.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

• Understand guest (virtualized) and host (hypervisor) environments and come up with secure solutions that connect both.
• Work with peers to identify, design, create and optimize software features that run on top of Google's hardware stack.
• Develop, test, integrate and release the solutions.
• Design and build infrastructure to automatically measure and detect regressions in key performance metrics at scale.
• Advocate ideas to others when cooperation and coordination is needed.
