Senior Frontend Software Engineer -AI Web Applications or AI Code Generation

About the Role

We are incubating a groundbreaking product at Postman that leverages advancements in artificial intelligence to accelerate software development, aligning with our API-First-World (https://api-first-world.com/) vision. Our early-stage goal is to develop technology and product offerings that simplify coding complexities by generating and maintaining fully functional web service code from API definitions, business definitions, and example request-response inputs.

This initiative will push the boundaries of code generation while redefining user experience paradigms for the AI-driven future.

As an early team member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product’s vision and direction. You will engage deeply with users, drive successful adoption, and influence the team's growth and evolution.

What You’ll Do

• Ideate, design, and build cutting-edge AI-native web applications for generating software from API designs.
• Research, apply, and deploy AI technologies to create data and tooling-rich, agent-powered systems.
• Work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced team with rapid iteration cycles.
• Architect, develop, and contribute to full-stack components.
• Actively participate in product discovery and iterative design cycles.

About You

• Strong experience in full-stack development with proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Electron, and React.
• Solid understanding of APIs, RESTful architecture, and API design principles.
• Expertise in modern frontend frameworks and scalable web architecture.
• Experience with AI tools, LLM integration, and code generation models.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment workflows.
• Experience building AI-powered or Agentic systems and working with data vectorization and embedding technologies.
• Strong product sensibility with a focus on impact and user experience.
• Familiarity with tools and approaches used in building products like Devin and Cursor AI is a plus.
• Desire to create a beloved and highly valued developer-tooling product.

The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $180,000 to $240,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
