Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member supporting the AWS Global Sales for Korea. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon. As a Finance Manager, you will work closely with the sales, strategy, operations, technology and functional leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements, and identifying paths to improve the overall planning and forecasting process.
The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
• Support the Korea Sales Leadership team on short- and long-term financial planning
• Build financial models for new business concepts and go-to-market plans for Korea segments
• Present financial summary and business insights to senior management
• Tighten internal controls for program spending and revenue accrual
• Execute ad hoc analysis based on business priorities
• Develop, and automate insightful reports to drive productivity increases
• Navigate multiple systems to dive deep revenue, sales productivity, OpEx, and investment growth- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 7+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results- 8+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
