The AWS Supply Chain Finance team is looking for a passionate, insightful, and results-oriented Finance leader to join our team. This role will present an opportunity to improve financial mechanisms for the Procurement, Finance, and Engineering teams.
As Finance Manager you will lead AWS Supply Chain Finance's Weekly Business Review (WBR) and Monthly Finance Review (MFR) mechanisms where you will work across the entire AWS Supply Chain organization to understand key outcomes and the inputs to drive those outcomes. You will leverage your superb communication skills to share insights with executive leadership on risks, opportunities, leading indicators, etc. that will shape strategic decision making and business strategy.
Key job responsibilities
- Provide key insights to Supply Chain VP, their directs, as well as Finance leadership.
- Lead delivery of high quality Weekly Business Review (WBR) and Monthly Finance Review (MFR) and facilitate action oriented conversation on the materials with Supply Chain leadership (business and finance); inclusive of the business VP (business and finance).
- Plan, coordinate, and manage programs to achieve goals. Includes mitigating delivery risks, tracking progress, communicating and driving alignment among stakeholders and project teams, and delivering results.
- Earn Trust across AWS Infrastructure Business and Finance teams learning the business and making sure expectations from them and their teams are clear.
- Identify risks and opportunities to the Supply Chains goals and communicate succinctly to leadership.
- Coordinate ways to scale and automate the WBR and MFR. Think big on solutions to eliminate manual processes and achieve long term goals.
- Matrix manage finance resources that support WBR and MFR mechanisms.- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
