Location Details: United States Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.  

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

Reporting to the President of Commerce and as a key member of the Engineering Leadership Team (ELT), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our commerce platform.

• Engineering Vision & Strategy: Define and execute the engineering strategy to deliver a robust scalable commerce platform, balancing scalability, reliability, and customer experience. Drive product execution that aligns with GoDaddy’s core values
• Innovation and Collaboration: Foster a culture of innovation by championing cutting-edge technologies, including data science, ML, and modern cloud architectures Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and GTM teams to drive seamless commerce solutions
• Team Leadership: Inspire, manage, and develop a 200+ high-performing engineering team, fostering collaboration and a results-oriented mindset. Lead performance management processes and build career growth opportunities

Your experience should include...

• 15+ years of experience in Engineering Management, with a strong focus on payments, commerce, and financial products
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of fostering innovation, collaboration, and cross-functional team alignment. Scaling engineering teams across geographies and leveraging lower-cost talent pools
• Deep industry knowledge and ability to differentiate our commerce platform in a competitive marketplace

• An understanding of customer needs with experience driving solutions that elevate commerce capabilities
• Expertise in data-driven leadership, machine learning, and modern platform architectures

You might also have...

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Master's degree in computer science
