Delivery Service Partners Capacity Manager – Japan (Based at HND21, Tokyo)
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Japan is looking for a Delivery Service Partners (DSP) Capacity Manager to lead capacity execution across the entire country. This is a high-impact role that plays a key part in ensuring we deliver on our customer promise while optimizing our nationwide delivery network. With end-to-end responsibility for Japan, this role offers significant leadership exposure, strategic influence, and the opportunity to shape the future of Amazon’s last-mile logistics.
As the DSP Capacity Manager, you will own and drive capacity execution at the national level, ensuring we have the right resources in place to support our expanding delivery operations. You will work cross-functionally with key teams—including OTR, DPM, Finance, Central Operations, Fleet, AM Flex, and Long-Term Planning—to identify opportunities, improve processes, and drive efficiency across our network.
This role requires someone comfortable working in an ambiguous and fast-moving environment, capable of making data-driven decisions, and confident in collaborating with senior AMZL leaders. You will analyze complex datasets, translate insights into actionable strategies, and provide updates to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Lead DSP capacity execution across all of Japan, ensuring scalability and operational efficiency.
- Optimize short-term, mid-term, and long-term capacity planning, aligning network resources with delivery demand.
- Analyze complex data and generate insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across OTR, DPM, Finance, Central Operations, Fleet, AM Flex, and EU Central Planning.
- Drive improvements in capacity management by identifying bottlenecks and implementing data-driven solutions.
- Engage with senior AMZL leaders, providing updates and recommendations on capacity planning.
- Bring clarity to ambiguous situations, ensuring alignment across partner teams and leadership.

• Owner of regional capacity cadences for Off Peak and Event Periods for all AMZN capacity workstreams.
• Event period regional ramp execution, incorporating DSP composition, Jurisdiction changes, DSP launches, fleet deployment, ramp offsets, quarterly percentage re-allocation and Q4 Ramp Down
• Removal of controllable barriers to capacity execution, through identifying risk and working with partner teams like DPM, Fleet Planning, CO, SNoP, PXT, Geospatial Partner Experience and Top of Funnel to mitigate and plan around risk.
• JP DSP composition for peak and off peak, including Pop-Up planning and new DSP launches
• Ownership for OTR capacity related updates for DBR, WBR and MBR reporting mechanisms
• Deployment of predefined projects, new products and processes into regional capacity cadences .
• Analyze data to identify network risks and deploy associated actions and capacity levers to remedy.
A day in the life
Every day can be different, as we follow the weekly capacity cadence your workload will switch from planning and preparation to execution and problem solving. There will need to be a constant focus on identifying barriers on things like like Fleet shortages, driver shortages or severe weather incidents. Ownership of this and providing visibility on how we overcome them within your peer group and to senior leadership will be a key part of your success. - A degree
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions
- Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
