As the WPP People Advisor, you support in driving operational and advisory HR services by providing the effective and efficient delivery of employment relations, performance management, learning and development, as well as support the planning and implementation of effective organisational development and change management.
Reporting to the People Lead, you will also provide informed, best practice advice, effectively build strong relationships, whilst helping develop and drive innovative initiatives and solutions that will complement and mirror the current and future strategic business objectives.

Your key responsibilities are as follows:
Product
- Collaborate with the People Coordinator on the starter, changes and leavers’ process for WPP, ensuring processes and policies are adhered to, and that the team offers a high quality and consistent service
- Conduct and collate learning’s from various datasets and systems, to inform and continually improve our attraction and engagement strategies
- Alongside the and Legal team, maintain the tools to manage the Award compliance process for new starters, changes, and on a regular basis for any changes to classification levels, as well as manage the Fair Work increases to awards minimums
- Support in the development and communication of network AUNZ HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure effective, fair, and consistent management of all employees; ensure all terms, policies and procedures are well understood and adhered to by all employees
- Help support and provide partnering for specific projects and implementation of HR systems, and where required, manage end-to-end People-related initiatives
- Effectively support transformation and transition initiatives
- Effectively support and manage all employee relation cases in the centre
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of employment regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and regarding human resources to contribute to the team being up to date, informed, compliant and innovative
Partnership
- Provide effective HR advice, guidance, and solutions to employees/managers as and when required; always working within the necessary legal parameters and deliver outstanding client service
- Partner with your managers to execute all cyclical people activities
- Build strong and enduring client relationships; be a trusted partner, and across all things HR in partnership with the AUNZ HR community. This includes maintenance of the SharePoint site for communications, and developing any necessary training for the AUNZ HR community
People
- Promote open, collaborative, and supportive relationships throughout the network
- Support managers with the development of their employees’ careers
- Provide constant feedback to the team on any aspect which may affect the success of the People team, always retaining an awareness of the bigger picture
- Be an effective, committed, and participative team member in order to provide a first-class service to the group, contributing to the continuing development of the People team
- Consistently demonstrating situation sensitivity and confidentiality to ensure that the People team is seen as a trusted and valued team within the organisation
Performance
- Assist in the creation and distribution of People and Culture related communications throughout WPP centre
- Support in the development of talent maps with leaders and assist with managing succession planning for business-critical roles across the centre, and develop a talent pipeline with leaders for internal candidates
- Work closely with the centre leaders to ensure that leaders are held accountable for managing the performance of their team, and that talent development is seen as a business imperative
- Ensure all relevant Sarbanes Oxley Compliance procedures and processes are followed, adhered to and evidenced at all times
WHAT YOU BRING
- This role requires 2+ years of HR generalist experience, particularly in employee relations, remuneration, diversity and inclusion, most recently at an advisory level, ideally in a matrix environment
- Hands-on HR operational and advisory experience and a proven track record of delivering an excellent integrated and client/stakeholder-focused generalist HR service
- Professional HR qualifications or continuing professional development to demonstrate competence is preferred with current knowledge of employment regulations, industry trends, and applicable HR laws
- Experience managing projects and initiatives from concept to execution, with little to no supervision
