 The GroupM IT team in WPP IT are the technology solutions partner for the GroupM group of agencies and are accountable for co-ordinating and assuring end-to-end change delivery, managing the GroupM IT technology life-cycle and innovation pipeline. 

 This role will work as part of the Investment Systems Team, where we are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of our application products and data solutions. As a Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing the on-site delivery team of developers, data engineers, QA engineers, and support engineers; ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the delivery of multiple product development workstreams simultaneously, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. 
  • Manage a large-sized product delivery team with pillars of different tech stacks. 
  • Responsible for implementing Agile, SCRUM and KANBAN processes and methods. 
  • Maintain the team capacity, boards, sprint backlogs, velocity charts and burn-down charts. 
  • Facilitate and support agile ceremonies and team meetings: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Refinement, Sprint Demo, and Sprint Retrospective. 
  • Responsibility for the preparation and execution of events in the whole agile release train. 
  • Ensure qualitative development by facilitating methods, processes, and tools. 
  • Train the team so that they can live the organizational processes and tools efficiently. 
  • Provide regular status reports to stakeholders and customers, highlighting progress, risks, and issues. 
  • Monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks and issues, and ensure that goals are achieved. 
  • Work closely with stakeholders and customers to ensure that their requirements are understood, and deliverables meet their expectations. 
  • Ensure that product documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date

. 

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years of experience in project management or delivery management role 
  • Possess good leadership and team management skills 
  • Strong project or product management skills, including the ability to plan, schedule, and monitor project activities, and manage risks and issues 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues 
  • Keen eye on details 
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, etc.) or equivalent work experience 
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) is preferred
  • Backlog/kanban management using Azure DevOps preferred
