The America’s Ops L&D Manager role includes leading a team of L&D experts, that champion our business/organizational readiness – for all – individuals and leaders alike. This position works closely with all functions across America’s Operations to identify needs and opportunities for training and development, not just to meet the demands of today, but also the demands of the future. Together with the Global L&D Team, this Manager will be responsible for understanding Operations business needs, making strategic recommendations to enhance organizational performance, bringing learning journeys to life, thus enabling ongoing learning of the AMR Operations team. -Recruit, Retain, Mentor development of Individual Contributors as direct reports. Team size: 5-8. -Own L&D strategic roadmap for all employee onboarding, professional and leadership development. -Apply business acumen, expertise & strategies knowledge into learning solutions. -Present, defend, & influence capability & technology roadmap to Apple’s senior executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. -Oversee/contribute to L&D program & training content development, incl. class facilitation. -Partner closely with x-functional leaders: Supply Demand Management, Retail Fulfillment Operations, Reseller Operations, Product Launch Readiness, Logistics and Business Process Re-engineering to develop best in class learning solutions that influence positive / behavioral change, aligned with strategic business objectives, and enhance individual and organizational capability. -Stitch across a global cross-functional teams throughout the organization, both technical and functional, adjusting communication and messaging for intended audience/stakeholders. -Demonstrate and explain complex business plans/processes, systems, and/or tools with a focus on the upstream/downstream impact and relationship between multiple functions and/or decisions. -Measure, understand, and communicate the impact learning content has on business operations. -Support org readiness & training programs for roll-out of new tools, processes, & people dev initiatives. -Drive innovative approach to L&D that engage/excite learners and guide process/policy improvements. -Identify process improvement opportunities (marketing, tools, workstreams, systems) and drive solutions from conception through implementation. Support continuous innovation within the team, advocating directs to use subject matter expertise to drive positive change management.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Operations, Business, Organizational Leadership, Adult Learning, Education, Instructional Design, Communication, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • 3+ years of team leadership/management experience, strong history of developing & motivating talent

  • Relevant direct and/or intersecting experience with a corporate L&D organization, e.g., instructional design, adult learning, curriculum curation/development, and/or classroom delivery/facilitation. Formal education in Adult Learning a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to create development plans linked to people/organization goals.
  • Superb communication/facilitation skills, incl. interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to partner with key/global stakeholders and executives in a matrixed environment.
  • Sharp analytical skills with experience interpreting complex data for informed decision making.
  • Ability to adapt under pressure, with positive and professional “customer-focused” attitude.
  • Confidence in managing ambiguity.
  • Consistent record of leading global, strategic projects, while executing tactically.
  • Experience in program and/or project management with very strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Subject matter expertise in supply chain operations and/or business process re-engineering a plus
