This attorney will provide legal guidance on product and service launches, regulatory issues, and advice on commercial and compliance related initiatives for business. The role covers the full spectrum of legal issues faced by the business, including new product development in highly regulated areas, catalog quality, localization, contract negotiation, and supply chain issues. This role collaborates with numerous teams across Amazon including Social Responsibility, Sustainability, IP, Privacy, Devices, Product Safety and Compliance.
Key job responsibilities
- Support business leaders as lead counsel on product development right through to launch.
- Counsel on regulatory and compliance matters, respond to regulatory inquiries.
- Provide day-to-day, customer-focused advice.
- Handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
- Some domestic and international travel will be required. - 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
