The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals for a full-time position as an Operations Specialist within the Booking, Quoting and Invoicing (BQI) team in our London office. As a key member of the Flexport Europe BQI team, this position offers a unique opportunity to improve Flexport’s current operating procedures and internal process with regards to shipment and client level financial performance, and help continue to shape the future of logistics. We are looking for candidates who are eager to take on this challenge, be part of our dynamic and innovative organisation, and make a lasting impact on the industry. 

As a BQI Global Operations Associate, you will:

  • Improve the quality and accuracy of quoting and invoicing practices. 
  • Ensure all services are accurately quoted and priced in line with pre-established margin policy guidelines.
  • Ensure that all applicable charges are invoiced across all product lines.
  • Establish and enforce structural procedures for revenue management, and financial reviews.
  • Own the performance reporting for your area of responsibility and specific line of business.
  • Hold yourself to strict Service Level Agreement (SLA) expectations, providing clear verbal and written reports on performance and developing action plans as needed with regards to financial operations.
  • Drive improvement around certain key metrics such as, quoting and invoicing on time performance (OTP), productivity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot financial issues, as well as act as an escalation point for risk mitigation and issue resolution.
  • Identify process gaps and areas for improvement, analyse root causes, and drive strategic initiatives for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by documenting best practices and lessons learned.
  • You will respond to client escalations, partnering with Account Management teams to solve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations. 
  • You will keep a close pulse on client financial health, reporting on client financials and ensuring the consistent payment schedules are adhered to.
  • Generate reports to communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • High Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a keen eye for detail in analysing bills, numbers, and internal processes.
  • Independent and Motivated: Work independently, staying motivated even when faced with repetitive tasks. Show initiative in tackling challenges and seeking continuous improvement.
  • Conduct financial audits and deep dives into revenue recovery opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of working experience. Experience in Logistics, Operations, or Warehousing is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle a high workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Relevant experience/degree in supply chain management will be an advantage
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.

You should be:

  • Able to work full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Fluent in English
