An opportunity to join a small, newly acquired team of technical resource administrators and technical resource analysts that is evolving their systems and solutions around render resourcing, production interfaces and self-healing infrastructure systems to meet Netflix standards. The team is looking for a technical leader to take on these systemic changes and run them from concept to implementation with the support of the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take a lead role on projects and systemic improvements

  • Leverage data pipeline and data analysts within the team to inform highest impact workstreams and review outcomes

  • Design and propose improvements to current workflows within the team as well as for production partners. Examples include render scheduling, demand forecasting, priority management

  • Work with cross functional partners in engineering and pipeline to increase efficiency of render resources. Examples include self-healing systems, anomaly detection, incident recovery

  • Drive automation, turning the team’s extensive knowledge of their workstreams into automation

  • Document and socialize changes and improvements for the benefit of stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with render schedulers or production task scheduling

  • Experience writing technical documentation

  • Experience leading projects or teams

  • Experience with stakeholder management or cross functional collaboration

  • Ability to design and implement high impact solutions based on data

  • Data driven approach to establishing work stream priority

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • VFX industry experience (Preferred)

  • Experience troubleshooting in a Windows environment (Preferred)

  • Working understanding of art packages with 3ds Max, Maya, and Nuke (Preferred)

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or another technical field (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of Python (Preferred)

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $700,000.
