This role will be responsible for providing the highest levels of talent business affairs support and service. The STM will need to provide expert advice on collective bargaining agreements, contract negotiations, budget, strategy, claims, audits etc. Reports into Group Talent Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with talent agents, representatives and business affairs departments
  • Expert knowledge of SAG-AFTRA and AFM Commercial Contracts
  • Expert knowledge of talent payment process
  • Initiate session and talent re-use estimates
  • Ability to work closely with Account Management and Producers
  • Work closely with talent payroll company to ensure performers are paid correctly
  • Act as liaison to payroll vendors, manage day-to-day
  • Manage all SAG-AFTRA, Plans and Client audits pertaining to talent
  • Responsible for re-negotiations of all talent and deal memos
  • Responsible for SAG-AFTRA and nonunion contracts
  • Responsible for talent payments
  • Assist in talent, celebrity and music rights negotiations
  • Assist in licensing and clearance needs
  • Resolve payment issues and claims as they arise
  • Oversight of Final Cast Lists
  • Work with Finance regarding talent invoices/issues
  • Perform other talent business affairs duties as assigned by management
  • Assists HOPS/GTM
  • Assists in training associate talent manager

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience working with commercial agreements and contract negotiation
  • 6+ years prior experience working with advertising agencies 
  • Expert experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be extremely detail orientated, strong ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, problem solving skills and follow through capabilities
  • Experience with computers and navigating various programs simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Team player with a CAN-DO attitude

 

The compensation for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$60,000$140,000 USD
