About the Role
Reporting to Senior Manager, Data Reporting, you will lead the weekly menu planning for our expanded menus across both HF & CP Brands, covering Surcharges, Add-ons and MODs, creating the best menu experience for our customers while ensuring we achieve our COGS, Recipe Score, and menu variety targets. This role will be a key liaison between the Operations and Product teams, and will drive discussions around new product offerings, ingredient and recipe improvement and cost saving opportunities. You will lead continuous improvement projects for various business partners, including Physical Product, Supply Planning, Strategic Sourcing, Recipe Development, and Culinary Menu Strategy to create the best menu and product possible.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the weekly Expanded Menu Planning functions, ensuring that we are constantly improving our approach and outcomes
- Shape decisions around the food voice of our customers and how it aligns to the product and culinary menu strategy visions, by being involved in weekly conversations with both teams
- Input into the Recipe Development process: support in the content, budget, process flow, and analysis that drive weekly briefing to the Culinary team, seeking to maximize customer satisfaction while managing operational constraints
- Inform ingredient onboarding strategy based on analysis of internal data sources and external market insights.
- Support the automation of information flows and sharing processes across the team.
- Ensure achievement of our COGS, score, and variety targets, driving value engineering initiatives while balancing the needs and wants of our customers
- Use data to identify opportunities to improve our product offerings (e.g., MSS, Recipe Score, Uptake)
- Support the launch of net new products and product offerings to customers, ensuring all Menu Planning and downstream stakeholder timelines are met
At a minimum, you have:
- 2+ years of experience in a continuous improvement, planning, Food Development or role with a physical product
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and ability to explain complex topics to business stakeholders
- Growth / Continuous Improvement Mindset
- Advanced Google Sheets / Excel
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- A great knowledge of ingredients and cooking, with a keen eye for spotting food trends and exciting ingredients
- Demonstrated ability to structure findings and develop recommendations for multiple functions
- Experience in recipe testing and/or development
