About the position:
AvePoint is dedicated to providing exceptional services and fostering a supportive work environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits Administrator to join our HR team. This role is crucial in managing our employee benefits programs, including healthcare benefits, leaves of absence, and equity programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Healthcare Benefits: Administer and manage the company's healthcare benefits programs, including medical, dental, and vision plans. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and provide support to employees regarding their healthcare benefits.
- Leaves of Absence: Oversee the administration of leaves of absence, including FMLA, parental leave, and other types of leave. Ensure a smooth and clear process for our colleagues. Maintain record-keeping and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Equity Program: Backup Support in the administration of the company's equity programs, including stock options and other equity-based compensation plans.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries. Provide timely and accurate information and resolve any issues related to benefits.
- Retirement Support: Support the administration of the company’s 401(k) program for US residents and RRSP/DPSP program for Canadian residents. Potential involvement in global pension schemes.

Other qualities you’ll need to be a fit for this role include:
- 1 – 2 years of proven experience in benefits administration, including healthcare benefits, leaves of absence, and equity programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities and data literacy.
- Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations, including but not limited to: ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, and state-specific legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including internal and vendor management. This role will be very employee-facing.
- Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software.
