Group Accounting & Reporting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Reporting Manager to join our global team based in Athens. This is a key role looking after bookkeeping, month-end closing and IFRS reporting. Will focus on optimizing accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions, maintaining compliance with IFRS and local GAAP and driving financial audit readiness.

This is a key role in Blueground’s finance organization. The ideal candidate has:

• Strong accounting background with a solid understanding of IFRS 
• Demonstrable successful track record operating in a demanding, multinational business environment
• Can-do mentality and eagerness to work closely with other teams across the organization to drive process improvements

What you will focus on:

• Review monthly closing and consolidation process and delivery of IFRS reporting packages 
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with external advisors on IFRS accounting matters, audit queries, and financial statement disclosures.
• Oversee accounting activities across multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping
• Manage statutory filings and external audits across jurisdictions, acting as a key point of contact for Blueground’s auditors.
• Maintain strong internal controls and process documentation to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Work closely with the transformation team to identify and prioritize the processes to be redesigned and bring in efficiencies; optimize the use of financial tools and systems to enhance efficiency and automation.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification highly preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a role of similar content and seniority

• Solid knowledge of IFRS, consolidation accounting and financial reporting.
• Hands-on background in financial systems with a focus on process automation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with end-to-end ownership

• Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with multiple stakeholders.
