Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Experience (CX) Facility Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring efficient and cost-effective solutions for maintenance issues by evaluating repair requests, assessing vendor quotations, and determining the most appropriate course of action. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in structural issues, plumbing, electricity, and appliances. Occasional travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address escalations from CX and Market Operations teams regarding high-cost quotations for repairs and maintenance issues.
  • Analyze vendor repair quotations to identify potential overcharging or unnecessary repairs.
  • Increase the technical skills and knowledge of CX and Market Operations coordinators by providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their ability to address maintenance issues independently.
  • Assess the validity of vendor-recommended repairs and determine if the issue can be resolved through simpler, faster, or more cost-effective means.
  • Work closely with vendors, CX teams, and Market Operations teams to ensure transparency and efficiency in resolving maintenance issues.
  • Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work meet quality standards and are completed in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to negotiate favorable terms and ensure reliable service.
  • Provide regular reports on maintenance trends, vendor performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Be willing to travel occasionally to assess on-site issues or work directly with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: structural issues, plumbing (high priority), electricity, or appliances. Expertise in all areas is highly desirable.
  • Ability to diagnose issues accurately and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to evaluate repair quotations critically and identify inconsistencies or inefficiencies.
  • Proactive approach to finding effective and efficient solutions to complex maintenance problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and vendors effectively. Sufficient English communication skills are required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Meticulous in reviewing quotations, repair work, and vendor performance.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and occasional travel requirements.
  • Prior experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and cost analysis is a plus.
  • Technical certification or relevant vocational training in structural, plumbing, electrical, or appliance maintenance preferred.
