Instructional Design Associate

About the opportunity

We are seeking an Instructional Design Associate to create impactful learning interventions in different modalities, including online training, micro-learning, instructor-led virtual, and in-person classes, supported by a detailed learning needs analysis, and reflecting N26 branding.

In this role, you will:

• Create engaging and compelling learning content targeting audiences' knowledge needs
• Identify gaps of information while working with Subject Matter Experts (SME's)
• Create custom exercises and learning activities targeting employees, partners, and vendors
• Apply instructional design theories and best practices such as ADDIE, SAM, etc
• Write and produce videos, audio and course scripts considering visuals, sound effects and music resources
• Conduct research towards defining appropriate learning objectives 
• Maintain effective project communication with stakeholders and team members throughout the entire process
• Reinforce the importance of the objectives-reporting correlation to the SME’s
• Calculate time required for concluding efficiently any given project

What you need to be successful:

Background: 

• Ability to design and develop engaging and impactful learning and practicing experiences
• Demonstrated ability to analyse learning needs and determine appropriate learning interventions
• Curiosity to explore and experiment with new and innovative approaches to learning
• 3+ years experience in learning design, ideally for operational roles

Skills and behaviours: 

• Technical - strong technical skills in the use of tools such as Adobe Captivate 12, familiarity with creating learning journeys with tools like Workday Learning, as well as creating learning solutions with simple tools available in the Google Workspace suite
• Critical Thinking - Natural ability to look beyond what is required to capture what it is needed
• Detailed – Realizes the importance of details in creating impactful outcomes
• Forward Looking – Isn’t limited by what’s out there today, is curious and constantly looking for what is next to drive learning

• Assessment – Assesses learning needs to match course objectives

• Flexible – Can change course if needed and align it to optimize learning objectives
• Passionate – Is passionate about training and development and naturally cares about the customer’s needs and requirements
• Collaborative – Collaborates with other designers, vendors, managers, SME’s and more people in the business to achieve results in terms of time and quality
• Ownership – Owns all aspects of assigned projects and does best to exceed expectations while embracing feedback and calibration
• Feedback – Is passionate about self-improvement and understands that feedback is an essential part in career growth and personal upskilling
• Independence – Is able to manage own time with little to no supervision through strong time management
• Mastery of English – English writing and communication skills must be strong
